This one-day symposium explored the most significant research around campus drug and alcohol use, its profound impact on student outcomes, and strategies to promote a healthy academic environment.

Hosted by the American Council of Trustees and Alumni and the Mary Christie Foundation, with support from the Hazelden Betty Ford Foundation, the event featured panel discussions with national higher education leaders and clinical experts including Ronald J. Daniels, the President of Johns Hopkins University, Philip J. Hanlon, the President of Dartmouth College, Shirley M. Collado, the President of Ithaca College, Damon Sims, the Vice President for Student Affairs of Pennsylvania State University, Robert L. DuPont, M.D., the Founder and President of Institute for Behavior and Health, and Joseph Lee, M.D. ABAM the Medical Director of Hazelden Betty Ford Youth Continuum.
