This meeting is the second in a two-part series that began on September 23 and 24, 2019, where 30 college and university presidents from across the country met for the Presidents’ Convening on Student Behavioral Health and Wellness hosted by Georgetown and the Mary Christie Foundation. The goal was to gain a deeper understanding of the role of higher education in the behavioral health and well-being of college students through expert presentations, panel discussions, and facilitated conversations. With the acknowledgment that solutions in this area must involve a larger set of leaders and must lead to actionable operational strategies, this March convening will bring leadership teams together from these same institutions to better understand how to improve the way institutions can support and improve their students’ overall well-being and academic success.
