Partner with Us
The institute prioritizes data collection and dissemination of evidence to understand and address mental health in higher education. MCI is keen to help fill gaps in knowledge by facilitating new research initiatives, such as the Role of Faculty in Student Mental Health survey that we piloted together in spring 2021. As a partner, MCI ensures that research is accessible and clearly communicated to inform practice and policy. It is rare to work with an organization that will take the extra steps to ensure that research reaches a diverse set of stakeholders, including college and university presidents and policymakers. MCI’s focus on research translation and dissemination is but one aspect of their unique contribution to the field.
We partnered with the Mary Christie Institute on a research report about peer counseling in college mental health. The team's expertise, creativity, professionalism, and kindness were apparent from the first day of our joint project. We aimed to shed light on U.S. students' experiences with and perceptions of peer counseling, and the study's findings accomplished our goal. Working in collaboration with the Mary Christie Institute was a joy, and we look forward to continuing our connection with the team.
